Method
- Place the strawberries, mint, rum, and sugar in a highball glass. Muddle until the strawberries have released their juices and the sugar has dissolved– about 30 seconds.
- Top with club soda and garnish with fresh mint and a sliced strawberry.
- Enjoy immediately.
Notes
Although I always recommend using fresh strawberries, you can use frozen in a pinch. Do not use dried mint; it must be fresh! You can replace the white rum with coconut rum, vodka, gin, or tequila for a different flavor. If you don’t have a muddler, use the back of a large wooden spoon. If your mojito is too sweet, add lime juice or a splash of Angostura bitters.
