Ingredients

Strawberry Margarita Mix
  • 5 cups strawberries hulled and cut in half
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 6 ml limes juiced
  • 2 ml lemons juiced
Margaritas
  • 1/3 cup triple sec
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1 pinch flaky salt for rimming glasses
  • 1 slice lime wedge and strawberry to garnish

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Add the strawberries, simple syrup, lime juice, and lemon juice to a blender.
  2. Blend on high (or puree) until completely smooth.
  3. This mix can be transferred to a container and stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.
  4. To use the mix to make a large batch of strawberry margaritas, add 1 cup tequila and ⅓ cup triple sec to the mix. Stir to combine.
  5. Run a wedge of lime around the edge of a margarita glass, then dip into kosher salt. Fill the glass with ice, then top it with the prepared strawberry margarita mix. Garnish with a wedge of lime and strawberry.
  6. Single serving: For a single serving, use 4 ounces strawberry margarita mix, 2 ounces tequila, and 1 ounce triple sec. Shake it up with ice and serve in a salt-rimmed glass with a wedge of fresh lime and strawberry.

Notes

Learn how to make simple syrup. You can use sugar to rim your glass instead of salt. To make this a mocktail, serve with a lemon-lime soda instead of tequila and triple sec.
