- Plug in your waffle iron and let it heat up. Once heated, spray generously with non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix with the ingredients listed on the box. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron. Use about ½ to ¾ cup of batter per waffle. Close the lid and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Carefully remove the waffle using tongs or a fork. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Slowly add the milk, whisking until you reach your desired consistency. Drizzle over warm waffles.
Notes
For an extra touch, top the waffles with fresh berries or a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Use milk instead of water for richer waffles.
