Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 432 g Red Velvet Cake Mix 1 box
  • 300 ml water listed on cake box
  • 3 pieces eggs listed on cake box
  • 120 ml vegetable oil listed on cake box
Frosting and Coating
  • 454 g cream cheese frosting 1 package or homemade
  • 454 g white chocolate candy coating or almond bark
  • 15 pieces Red Candy Melts optional for red stripes on top

Method
 

  1. Bake the cake according to directions on the package.
  2. Let it cool completely, using the freezer or letting it cool overnight.
  3. Put the entire cake in a bowl and crumble it up using your hands.
  4. Stir in your container of frosting into the crumbled cake, about ½ cup at a time, until it holds together.
  5. Roll the mixture into balls and flatten slightly if desired. Place on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Melt white chocolate candy coating and dip each cake bite until evenly covered.
  7. Let the bites set up, refrigerating if you want them to harden quickly. Decorate with sprinkles or drizzle with red candy melts if desired.

Notes

These cake bites are rich, so smaller sizes are recommended. Decorate quickly before the coating hardens for best results.
