  • 240 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 30 g granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 420 ml whole milk room temperature
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 120 g melted butter cooled to room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients at room temperature.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures; stir gently until just combined (lumps are okay).
  5. Preheat your waffle iron according to instructions.
  6. Pour batter onto the hot iron (about 1/2 cup), close it, and cook until golden brown (4-5 minutes).
  7. Serve with syrup or fresh fruit.

Notes

For a crispier texture, add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the dry ingredients. Customize by adding chocolate chips or blueberries to the batter before cooking.
