Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 slices of toasted white or whole wheat bread per sandwich
  • 23 slices of roasted turkey or chicken breast
  • 2 slices of crispy bacon
  • 2 slices of ripe tomato
  • Lettuce leaves (iceberg or romaine)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: slice of cheddar or Swiss cheese, sliced avocado

Instructions

  1. Lightly toast all three slices of bread and let them cool slightly.
  2. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice.
  3. On the bottom slice, layer lettuce, turkey, and tomato. Sprinkle with a touch of salt and pepper.
  4. Place the second slice of bread, mayo side down, on top of the tomato layer.
  5. Spread more mayo on the top of that slice, then add bacon, cheese (if using), and more lettuce.
  6. Cap with the third slice of bread, mayo side down.
  7. Gently press the sandwich down, then cut diagonally into four triangles.
  8. Secure each triangle with a toothpick to hold it together before serving.

Notes

  • Use a serrated knife for cleaner cuts.
  • Presentation matters: layer evenly and wipe away any excess mayo before serving.
  • Serve with pickles or chips for a complete experience.
